I’m a qualified Drum Tutor.Â
I Studied and gained a diploma qualification on a Music Facilitator Programme (MFP) Course, at North Trafford College, Manchester.
Whilst on the MFP course, I was given a term placement at Blackburn College, where I taught groups of students. Many of whom were already quite advanced. I was able mainly, to work on bad habits they had formed, which had started to halt some (and probably later, would have halted) more for their progression.Â
I teach people of all ages and experience levels, mainly on a one-to-one basis, and love what I do.
I carry an ENHANCED DBS-(CRB check) Certificate. Which includes a constant update online checker (if required), for continuity, suitability, and the safety of students.

ABOUT ME
CURRENTLY:-
Performing/Recording/Gigging with, and gigging support slots to many famous bands and artists with my band 'The itch.'
TEACHING, TUTORING DRUMS:-
I always knew I wanted to work as a professional Drum Tutor since I have a fierce love of working with people and sharing my true passion with them. I’ve had plenty of experience working with students of all levels and skills - from beginners to real experts. No matter who I’m teaching, I thrive on seeing my students grow and develop as they discover what they can achieve.
I have been privately Teaching Pupils of varied ages and abilities/disabilities, for some years now.
As well as teaching my own system (which i use as a lead into the next stage), I then, teach pupils to exam stage (If they so wish to take the exams?) from Rockschool 'graded' books for drums.
From The Debut Book to then, Grades 1 to Grade 8.
I encourage playing the drums as a form of enjoyment rather than for serious exams and grading.
The parents/carers of many pupils, have expressed how learning the drums has improved their siblings overall learning experience and confidence, in the further and wider expanse of education/academia and social world.

BEGINNER DRUMMING LESSONS
Simplicity, starting with very basic notation/physical/practical exercises to be learnt then practised during the following week(s), until the next lesson(s).
I design each lesson I offer according to my students’ abilities, and make the necessary changes once I become more familiar with their needs.
LEARN TO READ VERY SIMPLE MUSICAL NOTATION FOR DRUMS.
LEADING TO ADVANCED NOTATION UP TO GRADE 8 (ROCKSCHOOL) DRUMS.
I can also help/assist in learning, by listening to the various formats of music. For example:- Vinyl, CD, Downloads etc.,.
No matter your level of skill or experience, you’ll gain a lot from taking my drum lessons, especially if your self taught, or have never had a drum lesson before. You may have gained some bad habits, that can stall your further progression. Each class includes practical and theoretical instruction, along with plenty of time to put your new knowledge into practice. Contact me to find out about availability.
ADVANCED DRUMMING LESSONS
These lessons are just generally a on-going progression from the earlier lessons that I teach, whether you appear advanced or not.
When you sign up for my Drum Lessons, you can be assured, (as is with all levels of lessons), upon reaching the advanced levels, of plenty of individual attention and focus that is required by both the pupil and myself. Each lesson involves an element of learning and theory but the majority of the time, is devoted to putting that theory into practice. Much of the theory students will also be expected to research for themselves (if they wish), so we can cover the more practical elements, as we go through each lesson, along with the theory provided.
With the RockSchool Drum Books, there is room to learn 3 to 4 different methods, with the help of a CD that comes with each book. Get in touch to find out more.
I encourage playing the drums as a form of enjoyment rather than for serious exams and grading.
But, for those wanting qualifications, I stress that is of a great encouragement for continuous quality progression.
